Learning objectives: Students will explore the impacts of climate change and the major ecological crises affecting wildlife commonly encountered in the Mediterranean area and gain a thorough understanding of the basic principles of wildlife conservation and management.
An additional objective will be to provide a general overview on wildlife management/conservation options also in Sub-saharan Africa. An insight on the influence of climate/environmental changes on the onset of diseases of wild animals, livestock and humans, and on selected wildlife diseases, including those at the wildlife-livestock-human interface will also be given.
