This course includes  the following topics:

Pastoral sector weakness in Tunisia and in the World: organization, legislation and environmental challenges,

Animal and plant interactions: Animal behavior (Activity rhythms, Territorial behavior, Food behavior, Quantities ingested during grazing (Estimation, Factors of variation, Regulatory mechanisms) and grazed plant behavior,

Management techniques: Factors influencing the use of rangelands by animals (grazing periods, stocking rate, grazing systems, fences and water resources),

Management techniques: Methods to manipulate rangeland vegetation(Reseeding, , Fertilization, Resting, Prescribed fire, 

Rangeland Management Technologies: Herbometers, Software Remote Sensing, Geographic Information System (GIS)
